Friends of the Library Report: July/August 2024

Stack of books with text promoting the Friends of the Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library.

Who are the Friends of the Library, and How can you get involved?

You might have seen this group of dedicated volunteers without even knowing who they were. You may have purchased books from the used book sale, utilized library materials purchased with donated funds, or attended our Annual Author's Luncheon.

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit group who assists in supporting the library through volunteer and fundraising efforts. Without this organization the procurement of some library materials and programs would not be possible.

It is easy to become a Friend’s member. You only need to fill out the application on the library’s website, sbplibrary.org or pick up a membership form at the library and turn it in at the Front Desk. Membership options start at as little as $10 for students and $20 for individuals.
