See new releases, events, and upcoming library programs for the start of 2023 in our newsletter!
The Library Newsletter is a joint effort between the Friends of the Library and the Shelbyville – Bedford County Library Staff that is published quarterly to keep our patrons informed as to what is happening at the library.
Teens Needing Volunteer Hours and Seniors Needing Tech Help? One-on-one sessions will be available at your convenience up to 2 hours at a time.
Our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a great way to become more involved in the community and the library! It gives you a voice to add input for YA collections, programs, displays, contribute to social media, write book reviews, volunteer at events, organize community service projects, and influence how the library serves teens.
Borrow and enjoy audiobooks, eBooks, comics, movies, TV, magazines, or music everywhere you have a screen-your computer, your phone, your car, even your TV. All you need is a library card.
In an effort to maximize our user experience, we are making changes over the next weeks.
Please ask our staff if you have questions or need assistance.

Friends of the Library members and volunteers actively promote Library services and resources while sharing their love of books with the community. The Friends foster a positive relationship between the Library and the community, secure volunteers and raise funds to support the Library. Join us at our monthly meeting!
Our monthly interactive storytimes introduce young children to reading, music, STEAM, and language with stories, songs, and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
Come play with LEGOs with us monthly and conquer challenges with your friends!
Go on an adventure with our D&D/RPG Club! The club is focused on playing tabletop role-playing games, where each person creates their own character to be part of a larger story. Whether you are new to role-playing games or an expert, this club is for you!
Join us monthly for crafts and activities relating to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math!
Help us create programs and recommend new books, while you develop skills working with a group and have a unique activity to include on applications or resumes! For more information, please contact our Youth Services Librarian at youthservices@sbcplibrary.org or by calling us at (931) 684-7323!
